ABOUT MADDY
maddy redlawsk is an aspiring professional dancer currently earning her B.A. in dance science from california state university, long beach.

originally from redwood city, CA, maddy spent 13 years studying ballet and pointe with menlo park academy of dance and broadened her repertoire of styles through sequoia high school's advanced dance program. she furthered her experience with hip hop and jazz when she became co captain of sequoia's dance team and choreographed multiple pieces for halftime shows. she also choreographed three modern works for sequoia's annual dance show, two of which won informal "best choreography" awards.
in college, maddy has focused her attention on modern dance and the scientific aspect of dance and has had the opportunity to work with multiple choreographers, including temria airmet, erin reynolds, and andrew vaca. she is interested in exploring movement as a way to portray a message and create change.

currently, maddy teaches hip hop and jazz dance at an after-school program in downey, california. while residing in her home town for the summer, maddy is offering a multiple-style summer intensive for aspiring young dancers, as she is interested in opening her own studio in the future and reinventing the way that movement is taught, experienced, and portrayed.
